Coronation Street Plot Twist: Fans Predict Unexpected Turn in Kit’s Story!
Kit, introduced earlier this year as the son Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) put up for adoption, is the brother of Paul (Peter Ash) and Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell). Despite being part of the same family, Kit struggles to connect with his siblings due to the resentment he harbors towards Bernie for placing him in care.
Outside of family dynamics, Kit has made a name for himself as a bit of a troublemaker. In a previous scene, he was seen in the pub with Craig (Colson Smith), encouraging him to drink heavily until Craig hinted at past legal transgressions.
This week, Kit was again seen in the pub with Craig, probing for details about Beth’s (Lisa George) illegal activities, specifically her involvement in selling counterfeit t-shirts. At the end of Monday’s episode, Kit was caught in the ginnel talking to Sid, Beth’s accomplice. Kit demanded that Sid remove Beth from the operation and bring him on board instead, as he wanted a share of their profits. Kit also threatened to report Sid to the police if his demands were not met.
While these scenes appeared to confirm that Kit Green is simply a corrupt police officer, some fans of the ITV soap believe he may be concealing something more.
One viewer speculated on X, “Maybe that’s the real Kit?” following the twist between Sid and Kit.
Another agreed, saying, “Exactly, something is suspicious. I don’t believe the Kit we know is the real one!”
Actor Jacob Roberts previously discussed Kit’s turbulent relationship with Bernie, stating, “He is still very angry and doesn’t want anything to do with her. As far as he is concerned, she abandoned him twice—first when he was born, and then again when he was 20 and she didn’t show up for their arranged meeting. He has a lot of unresolved issues.”
Roberts added that Kit’s journey to forgiveness will be challenging. “He is getting some twisted pleasure from being around where she is and forming a relationship with his siblings. It will be interesting to see how long he can maintain this before he realizes that moving forward means trying to forgive his mother.”
