Coronation Street

Bernie ‘works out’ Kit’s secret in new Coronation Street spoiler

Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) has serious questions about son Kit Green’s (Jacob Roberts) past in Coronation Street next week.

As viewers of the ITV soap have seen recently, he has a secret history with troublesome Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton).

Their backstory will soon be explored in a special flashback episode.

The special episode will take us back to 2007 and delve into the events of Kit’s past and how they shaped him into the mysterious man he is today.

In scenes that aired this week, we found out that the men aren’t exactly strangers, when Kit was forced to question the newcomer after an assault.

However, he chose not to push too hard in the interrogation room and allowed Mick to walk free.

In upcoming scenes, Bernie wants answers.

As the spoiler video shows, Kit is taking a trip down memory lane and looks at a photo of him with his adoptive mother. Bernie is calling him, but he declines to pick up the phone.

Without any hesitation, she then lets himself into his flat and he’s furious.

Unbothered by his frustration, she begins to ask why he covered for Mick and thinks it has something to do with the picture she found of them both as teenagers.

An argument then ensues, but Bernie remains adamant that she is right and that Mick probably has some leverage over her son.

Kit fires back, telling his mother that this seems to be the first time in 30 years that she’s cared about his childhood and he owes he no explanation.

However, Bernie realises that he is using this as a defence mechanism to distract himself from what is really going on.

Not willing to open up, he demands his key off her and orders her out.

Something tells us that Bernie won’t give up that easily!
