A huge congratulations are in order for Coronation Street star Sacha Parkinson who has welcomed her first child.
The actress announced the arrival of her baby girl on Wednesday, sharing two black and white snaps of the newborn as well as a colour one of her snoozing.
Sacha, who is best known for playing Sian Powers on the soap, and her fiancé John also revealed the sweet name they’ve chosen for their daughter.
Alongside the cute pictures, Sacha wrote that they’ve been soaking up the first few days of parenthood and penned ‘one whole week of Sadie’ in the caption.
Her Corrie family were delighted to see her news, with Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Metcalfe, leading the congratulations and writing: ‘Oooh wow congratulations. How wonderful. She’s so beautiful.’
Lucy-Jo Hudson, who played Katy Harris, commented, ‘ah she is beautiful, congratulations babe, so happy for you and your little family.
Lucy Fallon, who is famous for portraying Bethany Platt on the soap and recently welcomed a baby girl herself, added ‘gorgeous, hope you’re all ok.’
Soap star Charley Webb, who played Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, also sent her love and said that baby Sadie was the ‘cutest everything.’
Sadie’s arrival comes 18 months after her parents announced their engagement in October 2023 following a sunset proposal.
