Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) is set to get some surprising news from ex Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) in upcoming Coronation Street scenes which could change everything.
The mechanic was caught completely off-guard last year when he discovered that Alina had given birth to his son, Dorin, in 2022, after leaving Weatherfield months earlier.
She returned to the street in 2024 to give evidence against the leader of the human trafficking group that had targeted her, but fled after she began receiving threatening messages warning her not to testify.
Fearing for Dorin’s safety, she left him with Tyrone and Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) until it was safe for her to return and collect him to take him back to Romania.
In upcoming scenes, Tyrone is set to come home from the Rovers to find Dorin there.
Fiz is quick to explain that Alina’s house has flooded, and she’s agreed that they can take care of Tyrone’s son until things are sorted out, leaving Tyrone thrilled.
Next week, Tyrone decides to let Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) take Dorin out for the day, much to Fiz’s surprise.
Cassie and Tyrone have a very strained relationship at the moment, after Cassie poisoned and stole from Ken Barlow (William Roache)
However, he tells Fiz that he’s had a change of heart and thinks it might be good for her to spend some time with her grandson.
While they’re out, Tyrone gets a call from Alina with some surprising news.
Later, Tyrone informs Dorin that he will be staying with them for longer than expected.
