MUM STRUGGLES
She said: “They’ve got their own personalities and their own wants, and needs, and likes,” before revealing what she finds challenging.
Brooke added how it “can be quite challenging as a parent”, confessing: “Especially like me, who can’t regulate their own emotions.”
She went on: “Trying to figure out how to teach a three year old and a five year old that punching him in the face is not necessarily the right thing to do when he’s took your iPad.”
The former soap beauty then confessed again how it “can be quite challenging” and how for a long time she thought she was “doing something wrong”.
“I remember when Monroe turned one and I cried,” she said.
CRYING EVERY DAY
“I literally vividly remember pretty much every day, I would cry over how hard it was.”
She then touched on the the pressure mums put on themselves before highlighting what it’s like having a children who are different ages.
“You want their eldest to have the life they used to have, and you want your youngest to have the life your eldest had,” she said.
Back in 2023, Brooke opened up about parenting once again when she chatted to Scott Thomas on his Learning As I Go podcast.
FAVOURITE PARENT
While chatting to her longtime pal, Brooke shared how son Mexx preferred daddy over mummy: “The situation that I’ve found most hard is finding out that Kean is Mexx’s favourite [parent],” she said.
“I was like, ‘How is he your favourite? I’m the mum, I should be your favourite.'”
She later added: “I know I’m Monroe’s favourite but I think I’m losing that as well.
“Mexx’s favourite is Kean through and through and when I first realised that I had to ask and he fully let me know.”
