Despite being one of the most frequently married men on Coronation Street, Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) has had little luck with online dating recently.
His first date with Aurora was a disaster, but things seemed to improve when he matched with Demi Mansfield (Lisa Shingler). They enjoyed a date bonding over their mutual dislike of Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn). However, their second date ended abruptly when Demi walked out, telling Steve to ‘have a nice life.’
It appears that Steve has since given up on dating. Next week, he will make a harsh remark about Demi when Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) asks about her, admitting he’s ‘forgotten’ about her.
So, is this really the end of Demi in Steve’s life?
Steve has faced a string of romantic disappointments ever since his wife, Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), left him for a new life in Spain with former footballer Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn) earlier this year. The affair was exposed when Tim caught them in the act, and he couldn’t keep it secret from his best friend. Steve was initially furious but made several attempts to win Tracy back, all without success.
