REAL-LIFE ROMANCE!!! ITV Coronation Street’s Jane Danson Declares Love for Co-Star After Show Exit
Coronation Street stars Jane Danson and Georgia Taylor enjoyed a special reunion with a much-missed Cobbles icon as they went to watch him perform in panto
Coronation Street’s Jane Danson, famed for her portrayal of Leanne Battersby, had a delightful reunion with a beloved former co-star last night. Jane, who joined the soap in 1997 at the tender age of 18, has been pivotal in some of the show’s most gripping plots.
After grappling with drug addiction and a tumultuous marriage, Leanne left Weatherfield in 2000, only to make a triumphant return in 2004, maintaining her status as a central figure on the Street. With a dramatic Christmas ahead for Leanne as she deals with her sister Toyah’s affair with her husband Nick, off-screen, Jane enjoys a much calmer friendship with Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah.
The pair recently caught up with another Corrie favourite, Chris Gascoyne, known for his role as Peter Barlow, who exited the soap last year. Chris is currently starring as the dastardly Stromboli in Pinocchio at the Alhambra Theatre.
Jane and Georgia took to social media to share a photo from their visit backstage. Georgia gushed: “Watching our beloved PB giving his best baddie in Pinocchio Eyeliner and black nail varnish never looked so good on a guy.” Jane echoed the sentiment, sharing the image with her own followers and adding: “Love my friends,” reports Liverpool Echo.
Coronation Street’s cast members were equally excited about the reunion. Liam McCheyne, who portrays Dylan Wilson on the show, expressed his joy with a string of heart emojis, while Sally Carman, known for her role as Abi Webster, simply commented: “Joyous.”
