Coronation Street Joel’s killer confesses, Billy death fears and villain’s return ‘sealed’

Coronation Street is lining up some bombshell moments next week, from a killer confession to a prison mystery and a character in danger.
There’s horror for one family, as Joel Deering’s killer could finally be revealed. But as one character is accused, another confesses to murder – so is there more to be revealed?
Elsewhere David Platt is hiding something, with him possibly in contact with a former villain or show character – so is a return sealed? There’s danger for grieving Billy Mayhew, and Kit Green finds himself rumbled by Daisy Midgeley and Ryan Connor.
There’s also a life-changing opportunity for Lauren Bolton. The Metcalfes are fearful when they make a discovery too, resulting in the truth about one character’s living arrangements being revealed.
There’s horror for Billy’s loved ones next week, as he continues to grieve the loss of his husband Paul Foreman. As Paul’s family gather to remember him once more it all becomes too much for Billy, who hits the booze and ends up collapsing.
It seems Billy’s in a really bad way and could be left fighting for his life, as Paul’s mum Bernie finds him frozen. Is she too late to save him? The spoilers certainly tease tragedy could strike!
Elsewhere and there’s another death shock, when Dee-Dee Bailey confesses to her ex Joel’s murder. Weeks on from fans being left convinced she did the crime, the character claims she’s the killer to her dad Ed Bailey.
Next week we see DS Swain accused of being involved after a new discovery. Kit reveals to colleague Lisa that they found an unsent message on her phone suggesting she wanted Joel dead.
As a result, Kit demands to know where she was on the night of Joel’s murder and soon Lisa is summoned to the police station. But it seems someone else is the killer, as Dee-Dee drops a bombshell on Ed.
Dee-Dee breaks down in tears and confesses to her father that she was the one who killed Joel after finding out he was about to do a runner. Dee-Dee decides that she’s going to hand herself into the police, but Ed’s horrified and tries to talk her out of it. So is Dee-Dee really the killer?
Another character hiding something is David, with it teased someone could return. David receives an email from Weatherfield Prison Services, while it seems they have contacted him through a letter as well which he is hiding.
Later in the week, David opens a laptop and deletes all the emails from Weatherfield prison. Who is trying to make contact with him and wife Shona, and will it lead to a villain’s return to the show?
Kit faces trouble next week when Ryan tells Daisy that Kit had got him drunk for information about her likes and dislikes, proving he’s manipulative and not to be trusted. When Daisy confronts Kit he lies, making out that after Paul’s funeral, he felt the need to get drunk. But will Daisy realise what he’s up to?
Finally Sally and Tim Metcalfe fear there’s mice in their home, after finding spilled food in the kitchen. Soon it’s revealed troubled teen Mason Radcliffe has been secretly living in their shed, so what will he do now?
