Coronation Street Joel murder weapon revealed as Kit shows true colours
Coronation Street spoilers have confirmed the cause of death for Joel Deering as a murder investigation gets underway as DS Swain is determined to find out what exactly happened
Coronation Street’s Joel Deering caused of death is revealed next week.
A sneak peek from an upcoming episode dropping this week shows DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) and PC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) chatting in Roy’s Rolls about the death of Joel. Despite being booted off the case, DS Swain’s all ears for the latest update from her work mate.
In the new clip, DS Swain can’t contain herself, firing off to Kit: “What did the post-mortem say?”. To which Kit tosses back with a cheeky “Oh that. Yeah right. He’s dead.” Prompting a miffed Swain to say: “You’re a child. Cause of death?, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Kit spills, telling her: “It was whacked on the head.” Not skipping a beat, DS Swain digs deeper: “Any idea on the weapon? ” However, Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), walks into the café and interrupts the important conversation, demanding to know what happened to his niece Dee-Dee Bailey’s (Channique Sterling-Brown) dodgy ex.
Having none of it, the copper barks at Ronnie, saying: “Okay so here’s what you need to do. You need to apply for police college, do your time and when you become a constable ask to be put on my team, then I’ll fill you in.”
Ronnie walks off allowing Swain to press on: “So, weapon?”. Kit responds: “Something well heavy, whoever broke into his flat, they used crowbar or something similar so until we get a better lead that’s the thing we’re looking for.” Swain’sdeep in thought – but what’s she piecing together in her detective brain?

After initially winning over fans, it was unveiled that Joel was behind Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) disappearance, having persistently abused her and exploited her vulnerability.
Joel recently vanished after ditching his car and seemingly faking his own death. He left a suicide note in his vehicle, but it was later confirmed he had purchased a second car – throwing into question whether he had taken his own life.
However, Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) disclosed that Joel’s body had been discovered by a riverbank. DS Swain and colleague Kit later confirmed the death to Dee-Dee, despite not finding Joel’s body, suggesting that Joel has indeed died, but who is to blame for his demise?
