Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd and wife-to-be share special wedding update
Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd and his fiancé Hanni have shared an exciting update ahead of their wedding.
The actor, best known for playing David Platt on the ITV soap since 2000, shared the wonderful news of his engagement with his followers on social media back in June.
Posting a series of photos on Instagram, the couple were seen kissing while on safari in Africa, with the first snap seeing Hanni showing off her new ring. ‘05.06.24 I said YES to forever!!! 💍😍🇹🇿🐘⛺️,’ she captioned the post.
The other photo saw the couple smiling at the camera following the proposal.
Their engagement came at the conclusion of a two-week holiday to Tanzania, during which they went on safari in the Serengeti before flying to Zanzibar for a luxury beach break.
It was while on the Serengeti that Jack proposed.
Yesterday, Hanni and Jack shared some sweet images on their Instagram which confirmed they have now set a date for the big day.
With their hands in shot and a Save the Date invitation, their caption read: ‘When thinking about our save the dates we wanted something original that celebrates our home in Manchester, the place we fell in love & built our life together 🥺 if you look closely, @dave__draws murals are all over the city & we couldn’t be happier with what Dave has created for us!! thank you for making something so special 🖤
’26th July 2025 we become Mr & Mrs Shepherd!! 👰🏻♀️🤍🤵🏻’
How lovely!
Jack and Hanni have been together for six years, having first met when Hanni worked on the soap in the press office.
She then went on to become a storyliner on the long-running series before quitting to become an influencer.
In Coronation Street, Jack’s character David Platt will play a huge role in Gail’s (Helen Worth) upcoming departure storyline.
Newly returned Jesse (John Thomson) tells David soon that he’s rented a flat in Oakhill but is expecting a financial windfall.
Later, while examining his finances to work out how to buy Number 8, David’s guarded as Jesse offers to lend a hand and reveals he’s taking Gail on a trip to Whitby.
As Sarah (Tina O’Brien) and David decide he’s acting quite strangely, the conversation is cut short due to the arrival of an estate agent outside.
When Adam (Sam Robertson) then lets slip that Jesse may have overheard him and Daniel (Rob Mallard) discussing Damon’s (Ciaran Griffiths) hidden loot, Sarah decides that Jesse has taken it.
