Coronation Street star reveals new ‘short and sweet’ hair transformation

Coronation Street star Sally Carman-Duttine has shown off her new hairdo after going for the chop.

The actress, best known for playing Abi Webster in the ITV soap, shared a picture of her choppy bob on Instagram over the weekend.

Sally had inches snipped off the length of her hair, marking a different look she has been seen sporting on-screen in recent years.

Posting a pic of her new do, she wrote: ‘Short and sweet 💛 Thank you @leahrileyhair @greatlengthsuk for my new hair doooooo.’

Sally’s Corrie cast mates bigged up her new look in the comments.

Vicky Myers, who plays DS Lisa Swain, wrote: ‘Love it! You’re absolutely stunning xxx.’

Sue Devaney, who plays her on-screen sister-in-law Debbie Webster commented: ‘Just stunning Sal! You look absolutely flipping gorgeous!!! I’m getting an almighty girl crush!! Love you xxxxxxx.’

‘I’m all yours Sue!!!!’ Sally replied.

Sarah Platt actress Tina O’Brien said: ‘You look flippin gorgeous,’ to which Sally also responded: ‘I’ll be over there if you carry on!’

Sally is married to co-star Joe Duttine, who plays Tim Metcalfe in Coronation Street.

The couple met whilst working together on the long-running ITV show, and wed in 2022.

In a bizarre twist, Sally’s character Abi Webster is married to Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell), whose ex-wife Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) is married to Joe’s character Tim Metcalfe.

Sally is also stepmum to Joe’s three children, aged 25, 14 and 12, from a previous relationship.

‘They’re gorgeous kids, it’s so easy and I feel really lucky to have that extension of a family,’ the actress previously told the Mirror.

‘Not to be a mother figure, because they’ve got a mum and they don’t need another, but just to have a relationship and some part in their journey into adulthood is amazing.’
