Gail Platt (Helen Worth) makes a huge decision in Coronation Street next week, and it will impact her future on the cobbles.
Recently, the Platt family learnt that Bethany (Lucy Fallon) was in intensive care in Turkey after botched liposuction surgery.
Amid the stress and worry, they also discovered issues with Bethany’s insurance policies, which means they have to raise funds themselves to pay her medical bills.
Try as they might though, the Platt clan are aware they need a miracle to help Bethany and bring her home – which is where Gail comes in.
Coming up, David (Jack P Shepherd) breaks the news to Shona (Julia Goulding) that Gail has taken out a bridging loan to pay for Bethany’s medevac flight home and has committed to the idea of selling the house.
Meanwhile, on the cobbles, Eileen (Sue Cleaver) watches a taxi pull up and is gobsmacked to see her ex-boyfriend Jesse (John Thomson) climb out. Just as Gail arrives back as well, she spots Jesse.
To Eileen’s shock, Gail then confirms that she met Jesse a few years ago while in Thailand.
