Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine) has fallen pregnant in Coronation Street – just weeks after discovering her husband Tyrone (Alan Halsall) had a secret son.

They’ve also had a pretty tough time with daughter Hope (Isabella Flanagan), who has picked up an addictive vaping habit.

The floor fell from beneath Tyrone’s feet last month when his ex Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) returned to Weatherfield accompanied by their son Dorin.

Alina later left the child in Tyrone and Fiz’ care after being forced into hiding following threats from the people traffickers whose trial she was due to give evidence at.

The move devastated Ty, who had grown closer to little Dorin – so he instructed Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) to get underway with a custody case.

In a bid to delay their trip, he quickly hid their passports – though when Fiz found out about his scheme she returned them and allowed the mother and son to leave for pastures new.

Since then, Alina has dodged all of his phone calls.

In tonight’s episode, Fiz was suffering from a dizzy spell and used her afternoon off work to visit Dr. Gaddas at the surgery.

The doctor asked her questions about her sex life, and when she had her last period – and then the penny dropped. She is pregnant.

After a test confirmed the news, she returned home to No. 9 and confessed all to Tyrone.

Whilst his jaw was initially on the floor, he later warmed to the idea and the two contemplated their future with another child – and a possibility that he could be outnumbered by yet another woman in the house.

Will Fiz continue with her pregnancy?
