Coronation Street star Bill Fellows’ famous son who is following in his footsteps
Coronation Street star Bill Fellows has become a fixture on our television screens and it seems his son Dylan has been following in his dad's footsteps as an actor
Coronation Street fans will know Bill Fellows as Stu Carpenter, who joined the cobbles back in 2021, and has since been involved in several dramatic storylines, most recently coming face-to-face with his estranged ex-wife Lucy. But the 65-year-old had been a regular on our screens before he took to the famous ITV show, appearing in rival soaps.
Originally from Middlesbrough, Bill attended Guildford Drama School back in the 80s an went on to star in a number of West End productions, including Blood Brothers, The Trackers of Oxyrhynchus at the Royal National Theatre and Pastoral at the Soho Theatre. He’s also appeared in the ITV dramas Vera and Broadchurch with David Tenant.
Since then he’s moved on to popular shows such as Ted Lasso, Doctors, Casualty, and Downton Abbey, before landing his role on Corrie. Since joining the soap, there’s no denying that his character Stu has been at the heart of some tough storylines since arriving in Weatherfield and has remained a prominent figure ever since joining.
One storyline saw him involved in the death of Charlie Walker, resulting in him enduring 27 years in prison, and it was his on-screen estranged wife Lucy, who helped frame him for the murder, but had left him after he confessed to the crime and cut him off from his daughter Bridget. Although now Stu’s past and family have slowly started to take centre stage in Coronation Street in dramatic events, with Lucy arriving in Weatherfield as well as his granddaughter.
And it seems Bill isn’t the only talented actor in the family, as his son Dylan Reeves-Fellows has followed in his footsteps. The 24-year-old who was born in January 1999, has delved into the same field as his dad, who seems to have passed on the acting genes. He originally studied economics and finance at university before going on to train at ALRA Drama School and achieving a MA in acting. He’s since gone on to star in the short film Someone Like You in 2020, and most recently, has been involved in scenes for the movie Blood Curse II: Asmodeus Rises, where he played Stephen Moore.
The father and son appear to have a close relationship, regularly sharing fun and happy photos together on social media. Dylan has also done some modelling work, appearing in adverts and various other photoshoots. He regularly shares professional snaps on his Instagram with his followers. Over on TikTok he’s also become known for his series in which he attempts to guess what the rent costs for properties on the market in London’s most expensive areas and on YouTube, where he has 58,000 subscribers, he posts vlogs, and advice about living in London.
