Coronation Street ‘confirms’ return for major character – and it’s bad news for a former couple
Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) makes a huge discovery about his old enemy Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) in Coronation Street soon.
Damon was sent to prison earlier this year after taking part in a robbery. Prior to this, he attempted to commit to a long-term relationship with Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), Adam’s ex.
In a recent episode of the ITV soap, Daniel (Rob Mallard) discovered that Bethany (Lucy Fallon) was in intensive care after botched liposuction in Turkey.
When Daniel arrived, he was informed that Bethany had issues with her insurance and therefore, couldn’t pay her medical fees.
On top of this, Bethany’s surgery and contracting sepsis abroad has left her with a stoma bag, something she will live with for the rest of her life.

Coming up, with Sarah unable to access her voicemail abroad, she asks Adam to check them as she waits for an update from a loan company.
As Adam listens to the messages, he’s stunned to come across one from Damon.
But what does he want?
Is he about to help Sarah and Bethany out with money?
Later in the week, with the Platt family up to their eyeballs in stress, Gail (Helen Worth) will suggest selling the house to raise the money for Bethany’s medical fees.
This understandably leaves David (Jack P Shepherd) horrified, as he points out the Platts will be homeless.
Meanwhile, when Daniel reveals his plan to use some of Bertie’s trust fund to help Bethany out, Ken (William Roache) urges him to think again.
Who will come through for Bethany? Could it be Daniel, or Damon?
Or will Gail sell the house ahead of her departure?
