Triumph After Struggles: Coronation Street Star Shares Emotional Journey of Overcoming Negative Pregnancy Tests Before Joyful News
Coronation Street star Stephanie Davis shared her previous string of negative pregnancy results in a heartwarming video.
The actress is already a mum to seven-year-old son Caben, whom she shares with ex-partner Jeremy McConnell, having met him on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016.
Now dating Joe McKalroy, the former Hollyoaks star is delighted to be expanding her family.
After confirming her pregnancy, the Courtney Vance star, documented her struggles and shared it in her latest Instagram.
‘After 2 years We finally got our Rainbow baby,’ she penned.
‘To anybody who is trying to conceive or going through difficulty getting pregnant, I hear you, I see you, I love you & please don’t loose hope.
‘Month after month it got so painful every time the tests said negative. I honestly felt like I could work in that field my self now the amount I read up and learnt and studied.
She continued: ‘There are so many more videos I could of added too, 2 years worth. Every test being negative to me was like re living our miscarriage all over again, the longing, the pain, the emptiness of loving someone you haven’t even met yet so so much and just wanting them here so badly.
‘I’d be staring at tests, getting them back out the bin in hope they had changed, taking the backs off them to see more clearly, standing under a light, standing under natural light, straining my eyes so much to the point I convinced my self I could see something! How many DPO, what are my symptoms, logging them etc, It was honestly so draining and heart wrenching wanting our miracle so much!’
The actress concluded the post: ‘Don’t give up hope if your struggling ladies, give up the apps and control and breath. I’m praying that you all get your positive test.’
Stephanie’s post was met with a overwhelming support from fans and fellow celebs, with former Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse replying: ‘😢😢😢 Oh wow!’
Former Love Island star Cally-Jane Beech added: ‘Awww I love this bbe congrats.’
Stephanie rose to fame when she joined Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks in 2010, playing Sinead O’Connor.
She was sacked from the soap in 2015 when it was deemed she turned up to set ‘unfit to work’, though she rejoined in 2018 before leaving again in 2020.
Then, last year, Stephanie appeared in ITV’s Coronation Street as Courtney Vance between July and November.
Her storyline certainly raised eyebrows, as her character began a steamy affair with her husband’s assistant, Aadi Alahan.
