Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) is set to be left terrified in upcoming Coronation Street scenes when he comes face to face with bully Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan).

Mason has served a short stretch behind bars after threatening Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) with a knife – something that Dylan told the police all about.

Because of this, the news that Mason had been released came as quite a shock to him, as he worried that Mason would want revenge.

Evil Mason made poor Liam’s life hell with his bullying, and Dylan was no better – acting to impress his friend.

Liam was so affected by Mason and his gang’s cruelty that he even began researching ways to take his life. Thankfully, mum Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) found out, and was able to help him through it.

In a new spoiler video, Dylan is caught totally by surprise when he bumps into Mason after hanging up the phone to his dad.

When Mason reveals that he was hoping to bump into him, Dylan is struck with terror. Is Mason out to get his revenge?

According to actor Luca Toolan, who spoke to Metro.co.uk at the Radio Times Soap Awards, we may be set to see a different side to Mason now that he is back on the street.

‘He’s not going to be totally redeemed, but you might get to see more of a three-dimensional character and why he’s the way he is,’ Luca teased.

He also revealed that he’s excited to explore this new side of the character, who spent most of his time bullying people before his stretch behind bars.

‘It makes him human, doesn’t it? The first stint was a lot of fun to play but a lot of it was just horrible, evil! There’s a bit more vulnerability in this second leg, so it’s been really challenging and fun to play.’

While Mason may strike fear into both Dylan and Liam, luckily the actors get on like a house on fire behind the scenes.

‘We get on really well,’ actor Liam McCheyne told us. ‘We all see each other like brothers, it’s very weird! Luca acts the youngest, I act the oldest [Laughs].

‘It’s been amazing to work with the two lads, they’re both so hardworking. And that shows on screen. Everybody can see it. It’s been amazing to work with them.’
