Coronation Street Legend Calms Co-Star Fears with Heartfelt Reassurance: ‘Love You Really’
Coronation Street legend Sam Aston has outpoured love for his on-screen family Dolly-Rose Campbell and Jane Hazlegrove on social media.
The Chesney Winter-Brown actor, 31, has appeared on the ITV soap since 2003.Recent stories have shown him struggle financially, and face the prospect of his huge family being made homeless.
That is, of course, because Chesney and wife Gemma (Campbell) have quadruplets, as well as son Joseph (William Flanagan) from a previous relationship.
Also living alongside them is Gemma’s wayward mum Bernie (Hazlegrove), whose estranged son Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) has recently signed on the dotted line to buy No. 5 Coronation Street and secure the family’s future as his tenants.
With such a busy time on-screen, it’s no surprise that the cast need some time to chill out – and that’s exactly what Sam, Dolly and Jane were doing in a recent social media post.
Taking to Instagram, Jane uploaded a picture of her and Dolly asleep, with their heads on Sam’s shoulders.
‘Everybody needs a Chesney for a pillow!’ she captioned it, continuing: ‘When me and @dolly_rose_campbell need a little snooze, this man @samaston93 has broad shoulders! Bless him.. he loves us madly!!’
A number of other Coronation Street cast-mates responded, with Max Turner actor Paddy Bever commenting: ‘can still hear you laughing at this! x.’
Sally Carman-Duttine, better known to viewers as Abi Webster said: ‘Love this’, and Dolly added three heart-eye emojis.
The wider family are expected to be at the centre of the show in coming months, as Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) passes away following his terminal motor neurone disease diagnosis.
