Mauricio Umansky discussed the possibility of mending his relationship with his estranged wife, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards.
During the December 24 episode of “Bravo’s Hot Mic” podcast, Umansky called Richards, whom he separated from in 2023, his best friend. He also noted that while he and Richards “have yet to file for divorce,” they have not discussed reconciliation.
“I think that we are both allowing time to pass without doing anything. I think that the way I’m seeing it, is that everything will happen naturally for whenever it is meant to be or however it’s meant to be,” said Umansky.
He also said he believes the longer he and Richards are separated, the likelihood that they mend their marriage decreases.
“The longer you’re apart the harder it is,” said Umansky.
In addition, he said that he has been “enjoying being alone” after he moved out of their Encino home to an apartment. Umansky said, however, that he and Richards have a strong bond because their youngest daughter, Portia, still lives at home. In addition, they are planning their other daughter, Alexia Umansky’s upcoming wedding.
Kyle Richards Spoke About Her Friendship With Mauricio Umansky
During a November 2024 interview with Access Hollywood’s “Housewives Nightcap,” Richards spoke about her friendship with Umansky. According to Richards, she and Umansky still “love each other” and “want the best for each other.”
“We have a great relationship. We had a great marriage for a long time. And now we have this great friendship. And we know that we are a family no matter what,” said Richards to the publication.
In addition, she said that there is not a specific reason why she and Umansky have not yet filed for divorce.
“It just hasn’t felt like any reason, any pressing reason to and I don’t know — it just feels big and dramatic,” said Richards during the Access Hollywood interview.
She also said that the idea of officially divorcing Umansky is “scary.”
Kyle Richards Said She Does Not Consider Herself Single in an October 2024 Interview
While speaking to Us Weekly in October 2024, Richards said she does not view herself as single despite being separated from Umansky.
“No, I don’t think of myself like that,” said Richards during the Us Weekly interview.
Richards said she is considering dating in a December 2024 interview on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.” In the same interview, Richards referenced that Umansky has been spotted going on dates since their separation. According to Richards, she has “tried to avoid” having conversations with her estranged husband about his dating life.
