Home and Away confirms a major turning point for Bree’s story

Home and Away has confirmed a major turning point in Bree Cameron’s current storyline.

Following Felicity Newman’s sudden death, the doctor was struggling with a need to compulsively check things at work, which led to Alf Stewart having a near-death experience himself. Since then, she’s felt the wrath of Alf’s loved ones.

In scenes set to air on Wednesday (January 29), after Alf’s return earlier in the week, Bree has a go at Remi Carter for betraying her trust and talking to Xander Delaney about her issues.

Remi tries to defend himself, but is thrown out of the house. Not long afterwards, Levi Fowler learns what’s happened.

He goes to Bree’s house and sees her obsessively cleaning the sink. He tries a gentle approach, even when she tells him he’s not welcome.

Eventually he gets her to admit that she feels like she can’t seek help, even though she knows she should, as she doesn’t want to be known as the doctor who lost it for the rest of her career. He responds with a question that cuts right through to her core.

Later on, Bree goes to Salt and tells Remi, Xander and Dana Matheson that she can’t live like this anymore, and is going to get a mental health assessment.

Her friends are supportive of her decision, especially Remi, who tells her how much he loves her.

Will she be able to turn things around successfully?
