Speculation over future of Home and Away stars: ‘Won’t miss them’
Home and Away fans are debating if the band Lyrik will all stay on the show in 2025.
Home and Away fans are busy speculating if one of the series’ most prominent storylines over the past few years will be coming to an end in 2025, with contracts rumoured to be up for the band members of Lyrik.
If you’re an avid fan, you know that Lyrik has been prominent on the show for the last few years, with the band popping up in Summer Bay in 2022 and recruiting Theo as one of their new members.
Last year’s finale saw Lyrik go on a little getaway to write and practice new music, but ended in a cliffhanger with Summer Bay’s resident cop Cash Newman waking up next to a bloody and battered Tim, who had been dating Lyrik member (and Cash’s ex-fiancé) Eden.
Is it all over for Home and Away’s Lyrik?
I’m sorry, but firstly, who named this band? Anyway, moving on…
Home and Away contracts are usually signed for three years, so 2025 means that yep, Lyrik’s time could be up and fans are busy speculating ahead of the 2025 season premiere.
“So Lyrik band contract ends in February 2025 I wonder if Eden, Remi and Kirby is offered or not offered another contract and if they are I wonder if they will stay or not?” an admin posted in a Home and Away Facebook fan group.
“If they don’t sign another contract that means they stop filming in a few months…I won’t miss them, well Eden and Remi anyway.”
The original poster also stated that they had heard Stephanie Panozzo, who plays Eden, would be leaving the show.
Fans speculate about the future of Lyrik
Other fans weren’t convinced time was up for Lyrik, although many agreed that they prefer the members’ storylines that don’t involve band drama.
“I got a feeling Lyrik are here to stay, they will probably start playing more gigs and touring in the city to keep their storylines going,” one person speculated. “I like the band, hopefully they stay, or maybe they go on tour,” another said.
“I’ll be sorry to see them leave, but like them as individual actors rather than a band,” someone else said, with someone agreeing, “I like them as characters but not as a band. I enjoy their individual storylines.”
Others thought the band may split, but that we wouldn’t say goodbye to all of the characters. “The band may split I could see Kirby leaving soon but I think Remi and Eden are here to stay,” someone put forth. “Eden will [leave]. Remi maybe but the guy has more lives than a cat!!!! Kirby she needs a good storyline,” another commented.
“Theo must have renewed, he’s been in the show for more than three years and I’ve heard he’s got a storyline with the River Boys,” another fan said.
