Home and Away fans debate saddest death: ‘Forever bring me to tears’
From Shane Parrish, to Robbo, to Felicity Newman, Home and Away fans are debating the deaths that have traumatised them.
After the devastating loss of Home and Away fan fave Felicity Newman, Home and Away fans have taken to social media to retraumise themselves over past Summer Bay icons who tragically lost their lives.
ICYMI, earlier this week on Home and Away, Felicity collapsed after hosting an engagement party for her brother Cash and BFF Eden. Fans later learned she suffered a brain aneurysm, only to make it through surgery to suffer a second bleed. It now appears that in next week’s episodes, Cash will make the difficult decision to turn her life support off.
As fans await the proper goodbye, they’ve started reminiscing on the ghosts of Summer Bay’s past and whose death has left a permanent scar on their hearts.
Home and Away fans on which Summer Bay death has haunted them the most
There are just certain tragic deaths on shows that are impossible to get over. For me, Noah being shot by Summer Bay stalker Sarah is still burned into my pre-teen mind. But then nothing prepared me emotionally for the day Aden lost Belle and he woke up to find out she had died in his arms from cancer not long after they married.
Over the years, Home and Away has tormented us all with the sad deaths of our beloved characters and fans are now chatting about which ones still hurt.
Some pulled out some very nostalgic memories like Shane Parrish’s death in the ’90s after he died from septicaemia, leaving behind a pregnant Angel and his stepson Dylan. ‘Shane (Dieter Brummer) and Irene’s husband Ken Smith crushed by his car while working on it,” one person said.
Numerous people said they are yet to move on from Robbo’s death in 2020. “Robbo for me. I cried so much. Sam Frost played a brilliant part also and made it seem so real,” one person said. “Robbo ~ the bit where she loses her mind at the funeral will forever bring me to tears,” another agreed.
“Robbo because of the acting done by Sam Frost. She made it so realistic and devastating that you cried because of her grief,” someone else said.
“Mason- that shooting was terrible,” someone else stated, while other names put forward multiple times included Charlie Buckton, Casey Braxton, Jack Holden, and Ari Parata.
The one modern-day death many Home and Away fans can’t get over
Many however agreed that while Felicity may take the most tragic death in modern times, that Billie Ashford’s 2017 death from cancer, not long after she became a first-time mum, is still very raw.
‘Billie on the beach with VJ and Luc,” someone said. “When she [Billie] died in Leah’s son’s arms sitting on the beach watching the sunrise .. he wasn’t the father but he took the baby on as his own,” another agreed.
