Home and Away fans fear two key characters are leaving the show
Could the soap really be losing two fan favourites?
Home and Away fans are worried that two key characters could be leaving the Australian soap soon.
Kirsty Marillier and Luke Van Os, who play siblings Rose and Xander Delaney, have got viewers wondering about their characters’ futures due to recent posts on their social media.
On Instagram, Marillier recently announced that she will be starring in the play Picnic at Hanging Rock between February and April next year, and will then be starring in another play, titled Destiny — which she wrote — across August and September.
Meanwhile, Van Os has been travelling for the last few weeks, visiting places like Peru and Bolivia according to his Instagram, suggesting he hasn’t been filming recently.
Fans have been commenting on their posts asking if they have left the soap and sharing speculation that may have decided not to renew once their initial contracts were up. Both actors have been in Summer Bay for around three years, and some viewers have suggested the duo may have signed three-year contracts.
The soap has a policy of not announcing cast departures until their final episode has aired and neither star has confirmed any potential exits, so whether they’ve left or are taking a break, we may not know for a while.
In other Home and Away news, Irene Roberts actor Lynne McGranger recently returned to filming after she took part in a stage show.
