HUGE SADNESS FROM FANS: Beautiful actress from popular series dies, she was only 45 years old
Popular Australian actress Rachael Carpani, who was loved by viewers as the temperamental Jodi Fountain in the cult series McLeod’s Daughters, has passed away forever. She was only 45 years old.

Australian actress Rachael Carpani has died at the age of 45. The tragic news was announced on Monday, December 15, by her sister Georgia, who shared a statement from their parents on the social network. The actress breathed her last on Sunday, December 7.
“It is with great sadness that Tony and Gael Carpani announce that their beautiful daughter, beloved Australian actress Rachael Carpani, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in the early hours of Sunday, December 7 after a long battle with chronic illness,” the official statement read.
The family added that the final farewell will be private. “The funeral will take place on Friday, December 19, with immediate family and friends. The family requests privacy at this very difficult time and will not be making any further statements,” the devastated relatives added.
From the farm to Hollywood
The actress became a household name thanks to the series McLeod’s Daughters, where she played one of the main characters – Jodi Fountain – from 2001 to 2009. Since the plot of this cult hit took place in the harsh but beautiful environment of an Australian cattle farm, Rachael became a symbol of natural beauty from the countryside for fans. However, her talent did not remain only in Australia. She also successfully established herself in American series and films.
She appeared in well-known crime dramas such as NCIS: Los Angeles or Sunny, Here and There Murders and played the main role in the series Head Against the Wall. Fans may also remember her from the thriller Triangle from 2009, where she played alongside Liam Hemsworth.
A touching confession from her sister and devastated fans
Just a few months ago, in August, her sister Georgia dedicated a beautiful confession to her birthday, which seems extremely sad today. “Whether she’s dressed up and ready to go out, or at home working, she’s the most beautiful woman I know,” Georgia wrote at the time. “The happiest birthday to my beautiful sister. You bring so much light and joy and we love you so much!” she added at the time in a touching post.
Hundreds of condolences from devastated fans immediately began to pile up under a photo of the sisters together from September 2024. “I am so saddened by the passing of your dear sister. I am so sorry. I grew up watching her and wanted to be like her. Sending lots of love and hugs to the whole family,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Praying for your beautiful family! I loved your sister on McLeod’s Daughters.”
