Recently, on the set of “Criminal Minds,” actor Thomas Gibson was involved in a physical altercation with a writer, leading CBS to make the decision to suspend him immediately.
According to sources, the 54-year-old actor kicked a writer, and this is not the first instance of violent behavior by Thomas Gibson on set. Previously, he had an altercation with a producer and even had to enroll in an anger management class to address his behavior.

Initially, CBS planned to suspend Thomas Gibson and have his character temporarily disappear from two episodes. However, the production team of “Criminal Minds” ultimately decided to remove Thomas from the show entirely.
“Thomas Gibson has been dismissed from the ‘Criminal Minds’ cast. Details on how we will address the disappearance of his character in the series will be announced later,” said a joint statement from ABC Studios and CBS Studios.

Since 2005, Thomas Gibson had appeared in 11 seasons of “Criminal Minds.” His removal from the hit series was a shocking development for loyal fans. Thomas himself expressed his disappointment, saying, “I have loved ‘Criminal Minds’ and have put my heart and soul into it for the past 12 years. I had hoped to see it through to the end, but that is no longer possible.”
“I just want to say thank you to the writers, producers, cast, and the amazing crew of our show, and most importantly, to the best fans a show could ever hope for,” Thomas Gibson sadly shared with Hollywood Reporter.
