Coronation Street fans think DS Lisa Swain ‘saw’ the moment her boss’ ‘masked slip’ as she was issued a surprise warning by him.
The ITV soap’s much-loved detective sergeant, played by Vicky Myers, has had a difficult time of late. Fans will recall she has been forced to dredge up the past involving her late wife, Becky, and the investigation she faced prior to her death in the line of duty.
She was then later triggered by the death of her friend and colleague, PC Craig Tinker, who was also killed in the line of duty following a shock attack by Mick Michaelis.
Lisa was later seen having therapy sessions, having been forced into speaking to someone by her policing boss, DI Costello. It came as she was put on desk duties at work having an incident with Brody Michaelis in prison, before being reported by DC Kit Green.
As fans recently saw, Lisa reluctantly attended her last therapy session, where she opened up to therapist Floyd, telling him that she was sure there was more to her late wife, Becky’s, death than she was ever told and is worried that it was something to do with the corruption investigation.
Later, Lisa’s boss, DI Costello, was seen on the phone before leaving his office, Lisa was then seen sneaking in to do some digging of her own, searching his email to see if there’s any mention of Becky and was stunned to find a request from Kit asking for access to Becky’s file.
She was caught by Costello, and soon after, she confronted Kit in the Rovers about his interest in her late wife. Once back home, Lisa told her girlfriend Carla Connor that she no longer trusts Kit and she can’t work with him any more.
But, she’s set to discover more about Kit’s interest in her past – and in their boss. During Monday’s (August 18) edition of Corrie, viewers saw advise Lisa to keep her relationship with Kit purely professional, as he wouldn’t want to see her get dragged down with him.

The warning left Lisa taken aback and questioning what he could mean. And Corrie fans think Lisa spotted the moment something wasn’t quite right with Costello.
It came after he entered the office looking for Kit. She let him know he’d already left and he was keen to make an exit himself. But Lisa stopped him to ask if he’d gotten a new phone as she’d spotted Kit writing down a mobile number next to his name on a post-it note and wondered if it was the new iPhone her daughter, Betsy, was after.
Costello looked uncomfortable before quickly flashing a smile and telling Lisa she was wrong in her assumption. He went to leave again, but before he did, he stopped and issued his warning to Lisa about Kit, telling her his recent behaviour hasn’t done him “any favours”.
