The news of Maggie Fox’s death was confirmed by her collaborator and fellow actress Sue Ryding on March 22. In a statement, Sue Ryding revealed that Maggie Fox died at home, surrounded by family, following an unforeseen accident. The specific details regarding the cause of her death have not yet been disclosed.
“We are all still in shock as the news came so suddenly after an accident. I am deeply saddened,” Sue Ryding expressed.
The two were a comedic duo for over 40 years and also co-directed the LipService Theatre Company (founded in 1985).
Sue Ryding and Maggie Fox first met as students at Bristol University in the 1970s. Their collaboration began with their first project and continued until now. The duo has written 22 original comedy scripts and performed across the globe.
In addition to her stage career, Maggie Fox appeared in several television shows, with her role in “Coronation Street” captivating audiences. Her credits also include “Shameless,” “Soul Music,” and “Reckless.”
“Coronation Street” is a British television soap opera produced by Granada Television and has been airing on ITV since 1960. The show primarily portrays the lives of working-class people, blending light humor with distinctive characters. In 2020, the series celebrated its 60th anniversary.
