Lives are about to change in Coronation Street, as next week multiple characters will be involved in a terrifying ordeal.

The residents taking centre stage in this storyline will be Mick and Lou Michaelis (Joe Layton and Farrel Hegarty), Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) and Craig Tinker (Colson Smith).

We already know that Kit shares some sort of connection with Mick, as he was completely shaken up when tasked with interviewing him at the police station.

In a special week of episodes, we will finally uncover the secrets surrounding Mick’s hold on Kit, as his past comes back to haunt him.

A new trailer has been revealed ahead of this story, which sees a battered and bloodied Craig (Colson Smith) unconscious on the floor after being brutally attacked.

Prior to this incident, he heads to work ready to start his placement shadowing Kit in CID. However, due to the fact Kit has his own agenda to take care of, a series of climactic events will unfold on the street, concluding with a horrific and life-changing moment.

With Craig’s life hanging in the balance afterwards, viewers will see him desperately fight for every breath, all while history catches up with Kit.

These episodes will conclude with Colson Smith’s departure as Craig. Speaking about his exit, the star said: ‘I can’t wait for people to see Craig’s final scenes. It is exactly the exit I wanted for him and we are all really proud of what we filmed in those final weeks.

‘It was actually great fun. I was walking around covered in fake blood for days and I was chuffed that I got to work with so many brilliant people in this final storyline.’

But just how will Craig’s final scenes play out?
