Major Coronation Street friendship crashes and burns after betrayal

Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) is set to find herself at odds with close friends Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) and Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) in Coronation Street amid her blackmailing scandal.
When Lauren and Betsy stole Tracy McDonald’s florist van, although Lauren crashed it, a remorseful Betsy took the blame for the incident.
Lauren then began receiving incriminating images and threatening messages from an unknown contact demanding £200 to not expose her secret, including a picture of her behind the wheel of the stolen flower van.
A worried Lauren confides in Bobby, who generously gives her £500 to pay off her blackmailer; however, a strapped-for-cash Lauren decides the money would be better spent on a deposit for her new flat after realising the price is way out of her budget.

But when Bobby learns of how the money he lent her was spent, he is devastated and shocked at her betrayal, so he declares the friendship over!
A heartbroken Lauren is left riddled with guilt and desperate to mend their friendship.
Later, Betsy decides to confront Lauren, criticising her treatment of taking advantage of Bobby and his generosity.
But as their confrontation escalates, it ends with poor Roy (David Neilson) covered in ketchup!
As Lauren struggles with the consequences of her actions, will she be able to make amends and earn her friends’ trust back?
