Two Coronation Street legends decide to leave for good in early ITVX release – but there’s a twist

This article contains spoilers for tonight’s Coronation Street, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on ITVX.
Coronation Street icon Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) made the decision to leave Weatherfield behind in tonight’s episode, but she didn’t want to go alone.
The barmaid is currently in the middle of a sly plot to con Jenny Connor (Sally-Ann Matthews) out of the £60,000 she recently acquired, after realising that Jenny planned not to tell her about her windfall.
To make matters worse, Jenny has been conspiring to buy the Rovers from Carla Connor (Alison King) – without Daisy!
With the help of mum Christina Midgeley (Amy Robbins) and catfish Dom, Daisy’s plan to steal Jenny’s money is well underway – meaning that she will soon need to make a quick getaway to avoid getting caught.

This evening, she told boyfriend Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) her plans, but was surprised when he refused to move with her.
Daisy argued her points and as ever, she did it well!
She was quick to point out that he was willing to give everything up to move to London with ex-girlfriend Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), though he insisted that it was different because that had been planned in advance.
However, he later changed his mind and informed Daisy that he was willing to make the move.
Thrilled, Daisy urged him to keep it on the downlow, so Jenny wouldn’t catch wind of her sudden departure.
Little did Daisy know, she had far more to worry about than Jenny.
At the end of tonight’s scenes, a shocking twist revealed that Christina was double crossing Daisy!
It turned out that Christina and Dom were an item, and planning on splitting Jenny’s money between the two of them and leaving Daisy out in the cold.
Will Daisy catch wind of Christina’s plan before it’s too late, or will she and Jenny be left with nothing?
