Coronation Street legend stages return as fears of violent beating grow

Lou and Mick Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty and Joe Layton)’s arrival in Coronation Street received a mixed reception from the existing residents.
While Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) instantly hit it off with Lou and was glad to have made a new friend, Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) did not feel the same about Mick.
It wasn’t long before Chesney realised that Mick was the driver of the mysterious van that had been causing him so much trouble. A feud started when Mick cut Chesney up for a parking space, and after blocking the van in as payback, he returned to his car to find the space empty and a big scratch on his car.
After seeing the van on the cobbles, Chesney poured sugar in the petrol tank and was quite pleased with his revenge – until he realised the driver was his new neighbour Mick, who had already revealed himself to be an aggressive and quite scary man.
As well as having Chesney on tenterhooks waiting to find out whether Mick is going to take revenge on him, Mick is also currently currently terrorising Sean (Antony Cotton), after he and Lou were revealed as the parents of Brody (Ryan Mulvey), the young man who is making Dylan’s life in the STC a misery.
After discovering that Sean had planned to expose Brody’s attempt to get Sean to bring a burner phone into the STC, Mick beat him up in the ginnel. He then menacingly demanded that Gemma provide him with an alibi for the attack and threatened her kids if she didn’t do as he asked.
In upcoming episodes Mick further threatens Sean that there’ll be dire consequences if he causes Brody any more trouble.
He invites Gemma for tea, an invitation that worries Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews). She advises Gemma to steer well clear of Mick and Lou, and when Sean hears about the invitation he’s furious with Gemma for ‘siding with the enemy.’

All of this has happened while Chesney has been away in London working on a festival for Dev (Jimmi Harkishin). He arrives back to a deeply worried Gemma, who tells him everything that’s been going on since he left.
Chesney is furious that his wife has been put under so much stress and his kids have been threatened, and he says he’ll go straight round to Mick’s and have it out with him.
But now Gemma has seen Mick’s true colours she’s terrified that Chesney could end up being beaten up, or worse. She begs Chesney not to go.
Then Mick and Lou call round bearing cans of lager and acting as if all four of them are the best of friends. Will Chesney play along, or will he risk Mick’s anger by challenging him?
