Coronation Street star Stephanie Davis’ two-month-old son rushed to hospital after he ‘STOPPED BREATHING’
Coronation Street’s Stephanie Davis has opened up about a harrowing ordeal that saw her baby son rushed to hospital with breathing problems.
Actress Stephanie played the role of Courtney Vance in the ITV soap in 2023. In January of this year, the star gave birth to her second child.
Stephanie, who is 31, shares the little tot with her partner Joe McKalroy.
When Samuel was born, Joe shared a post on his Instagram confirming the baby’s arrival, but admitted the birth was ‘traumatic’.
‘Welcome to the world my beautiful baby boy Samuel McKalroy. Named after your uncle the one and only who will always weigh heavy on my heart I wish so much that he could’ve met you and cherished you as much as I do’, he wrote.
‘It has been a traumatic experience but you are finally here in our arms.’
In his doting message, he added: ‘I never thought I could possibly love your mummy anymore than I already do but this is just so special and an unconditional love I cannot explain with words.
‘@stephaniedavis88 I love you more than you will ever know.’
Just recently, Stephanie updated her Instagram to confirm Samuel has been in hospital.
She said that on Monday, Samuel ‘stopped breathing and had 3 scary episodes’.

The star detailed: ‘I’ve felt totally helpless & powerless the past few days. He’s endured 2 lumber punctures which unfortunately didn’t work & had a bloody tap, a head scan, lung scan & I can’t count how many cannulas he’s had to have put in and out plus the rest.
‘He’s had the full works and every antibiotic to make sure he’s ok. It’s been an absolutely horrendous & traumatic time & completely powerless watching him go through so much pain but I know they have done everything they can to make sure he’s ok.
Stephanie added: ‘The whole time I have thought about those mums who have poorly babies in hospital for a long time and I honestly don’t know how you do it as I’m mentally and physically drained already my anxiety is through the roof think I’ve gone into autopilot now. I’ve thought about Amy so much these past few days.

‘I’m so grateful for the NHS & how utterly amazing and caring the staff have been the nurses and doctors are hero’s and angels. Now to be there for him these next few days and look forward to getting him home when we can.’
Stephanie’s followers were quick to send her supportive messages in the comments section, with many hoping little Samuel feels better soon.
The soap actress has another son called Caben. He is 8 years old and Stephanie shares him with ex-partner Jeremy McConnell.
