Coronation Street legend quits job after fallout with long-time colleague

Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) has quit his role as Webster’s Autocentre co-owner after an explosive fall out with Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) in Coronation Street.
The pair have each held a 50% stake in the business for the last 21 years, but their working relationship could be over following an argument about their kids.
In the last year, both of their eldest children have found themselves on the wrong side of the law.
Pyromaniac Hope (Isabella Flanagan) has taken up vaping – which led to her falling unwell – whilst Jack (Kyran Bowes) sparked his own fire when he torched the offices of twisted publisher Stefan Brent (Paul Opacic).
Hope then developed a growing affection for her neighbour, deeming he was far more grown-up than her boyfriend Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan).
Kevin was adamant that his son keep away from her, deeming her to be the root of his change in behaviour.
In recent episodes, Jack was scorned for fighting in school, though his aunt Debbie (Sue Devaney) failed to inform Kevin. It’s likely that this is because of her upcoming dementia diagnosis.
Tonight, he came home from school and asked whether he could attend a party, but Kevin refused – not wanting him to see it as a reward for his bad behaviour.

Jack’s unruly demeanour is the last of Kevin’s worries. Having found out he has testicular cancer, he headed to the hospital for chemotherapy treatment.
Things were tense between Kevin and wife Abi (Sally Carman-Duttine), with him refusing to allow her to pander him. As a result, he ordered her to go home.
Tyrone was busy working alone at the garage, and was shocked to receive a call from the police to attend a matter at the precinct.
Jack and Hope had spent their afternoon off school in the play park, and had decided to hire e-scooters using Kevin’s credit card.
Similar real-life vehicles in Manchester must only be used by over 18s, and a valid driver’s license or ID is required to board them.
This is a rule that officers Jess Heywood (Donnaleigh Bailey) and Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) were quick to enforce when they caught the pair.

Whilst the teens pleaded their innocence, Jess found a bottle of brandy stashed in Hope’s bag.
Kevin arrived and was furious to see the unfolding situation, but when he returned home he wondered why Jack and Hope had only been cautioned. He told Tyrone that he thought they’d pitied him after realising he’d just had a round of chemo.
Later, Tyrone was enjoying a pint in the Bistro when Kevin arrived to collect a food order.
The pair innocently chatted, but the conversation escalated into a row when Kevin revealed that he hadn’t had the time or energy to discipline Jack.
Both of them believe that their children are at fault, and neither was prepared to back down.
As a result, Tyrone declared that his business partner was his best pal Kev, and that wasn’t the person stood in front of him. He’s done with the garage, and quit.
Will the two be able to repair their friendship?
