Coronation Street Star’s Departure Hinted After Shocking Arson Incident
A Coronation Street character may be facing a dramatic exit following a recent arson attack.
This week, DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) has been investigating a suspicious fire at Stefan Brent’s offices, and Abi and Kevin Webster (Sally Carman and Michael Le Vell) have come under suspicion.
As DS Swain honed in on them, Abi grew increasingly concerned about her step-son, Jack Webster (Kyran Bowes). It wasn’t long before Jack confessed to setting fire to Stefan’s car in retaliation for the way Stefan had treated his family.
Stefan had been tormenting the Webster family recently, targeting them with deepfake porn videos. After Jack admitted to his family that he was responsible for the fire, Abi and Kevin debated how to handle the situation. Their options were quickly taken out of their hands when Jack confessed to the police.
In tonight’s episode, DS Swain questioned Jack, who insisted he had no idea Stefan was in the building when he started the fire. However, Swain pointed out that CCTV footage clearly showed the building was not empty when the fire was set.
As a result, DS Swain announced that Jack would be charged with arson with intent to endanger life—a serious offense. Following the interrogation, solicitor Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) informed Abi and Kevin that Jack could face time in a youth offenders’ institution. He explained that if Jack pleads guilty, he might receive a tag but could avoid a custodial sentence. However, if he pleads not guilty and is found guilty, he risks a higher chance of imprisonment.
What will Jack decide?
