Rob, known for his role as Daniel Osbourne, was delighted to see Matthew play a police officer in a dramatic episode featuring Cassie Plummer’s arrest, a character played by Claire Sweeney.
The incident sparked excitement on social media, with Claire taking to Instagram to praise her co-star, saying: “How fabulous you were.”
Matthew himself expressed his appreciation and shared details about his surprise moment on the cobbles. He posted a photo alongside Rob Mallard, cheekily captioning it: “Ey mam! I’m on the telly box! Quite a surreal time being pulled in SUPER last minute to step in as a Policeman to arrest Cassie Plummer.”
In his Instagram post, he thanked @mossy737 for giving him this opportunity on the renowned Coronation Street set and recognised Rob’s invaluable support, reports the Express.
