Evil Joel Deering (Callum Lill) is pushed to his limits in Coronation Street next week, as he lashes out at Besty Swain (Sydney Martin) after she attempts to threaten him.
In forthcoming scenes of the ITV soap, DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) visits Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) in the hospital to question her after she goes into early labor with her and Joel’s baby.
Viewers know that Joel was responsible for the attack on Lauren, leading the police to believe she was dead. He is also the father of her baby after grooming her.
Next week, with Joel having become a father for the second time, his attention shifts when Betsy continues to blackmail the sinister solicitor. DS Swain’s daughter is the only one who knows Joel’s true nature after he tried to get her best friend, Sabrina Adetiba (Luana Santos), drunk. She is now demanding money in exchange for her silence.
In a tense confrontation, Joel is left seething when Betsy reminds him that he owes her after throwing her out of his car in a rough estate last month. However, the situation takes a darker turn when she demands £100 or threatens to expose his predatory behavior.
Losing his temper, Joel violently drags her into the ginnel. Just how far will he go to silence her?
