In the meantime, Kevin consults Dr Gaddas who refers him for additional tests. He confides in Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) about his cancer fears before returning home to find Abi asleep on the sofa with Alfie, reports Lancs Live.
After taking Alfie upstairs, Debbie enters the house and Abi wakes up to find Alfie missing. She accuses Debbie of taking Alfie and defends her overreaction when Debbie attempts to leave.
Michael Le Vell has played the character since 1983
Amidst the chaos, Kevin discloses to Abi that he has found a lump and might have testicular cancer, leaving Abi utterly shocked. According to Gambling.com, soap veteran Michael, who first appeared in 1983, has odds of 11/10 to exit Coronation Street this year.
Producer Kate Brooks recently dished on the upcoming plot twist, revealing: âAs we go into the New Year, Kevin will discover that heâs got testicular cancer, which causes a massive strain on his relationship.â

She also mentioned that the narrative will focus heavily on the coupleâs bond: âabout their relationshipâ and âtesting that relationshipâ. Viewers have been left wondering if Kevinâs diagnosis will lead to his departure from the show after more than 40 years.
