Coronation Street: The Shocking Return of Two D.ea.d Characters!

Coronation Street has aired the first of Harry Visinoni’s return scenes as Seb Franklin.

The actor has reprised his role as Seb for an emotional storyline after four years away from the ITV soap.

Seb tragically lost his life in a hate crime attack in May 2021. He made his final on-screen appearance in special flashback scenes three months later.

Earlier this month, Seb’s mum Abi Webster faced further tragedy as she witnessed some of Mason Radcliffe’s final moments.

Abi rushed over to help Mason when she discovered that he’d been stabbed by his brothers at the Weatherfield Precinct. She called an ambulance and tried to stop the bleeding, but Mason later lost his life in hospital.

Although Abi had never been close to Mason, the upsetting incident has brought back bad memories as she now feels haunted by Seb’s d.ea.th all over again.

The show has started exploring Abi’s fragile mental health after the incident and Wednesday’s episode saw Seb feature on screen as she reflected on the past.

A vision of Seb was seen in the Webster family kitchen as Abi thought back to a touching moment that she’d shared with her son before his d.ea.th in 2021.

Seb will feature in more scenes over the coming weeks as Abi starts experiencing hallucinations, including some frightening ones showing her son as if he’d just been attacked.

Coronation Street‘s producer Kate Brooks recently revealed Abi’s future by telling us: “[Kevin’s marriage to Abi] is going to be truly tested.

“Abi is going through her own situation as she struggles with the aftermath of a big event that happens in January. She loves Kevin and he loves her, but temptation comes Abi’s way.”
