The drama centres on Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), whoâs landed himself in hot water after cheating on girlfriend Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) with ex Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).
The pair had a secret tryst at the Rovers Return, leaving Daisy heartbroken when Daniel regretted his actions.
Now Daisy has moved on to fresh love interest Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), a dashing new police officer.
But fans have spotted a problem â Kit has a messy romantic history, including a fling with Shona Platt (Julia Goulding).
To make matters worse, Kit was recently spotted sharing a cryptic goodbye with an unnamed woman, sparking fears heâs juggling multiple relationships.
Coronation Street is known for tackling real-life issues, from mental health to domestic abuse, and fans believe an STI plot could highlight the risks of infidelity and the importance of sexual health.
Viewers reckon this love triangle â or rather, love hexagon â could spiral into a shocking STI storyline.
One fan tweeted: âTheyâre all going to get something,â while another said: âYou watch, theyâll have a clap story next.â
A third said: âThey are all going to get sexual diseases!!â
Soap bosses have yet to confirm the fan theory.
Watch horrifying moment Coronation Streetâs Daniel Osbourne crashes stolen car while drunk
Itâs already been a rollercoaster first year back in Weatherfield for Bethany Platt, who returned on New Yearâs Eve last year.
While she reunited with former love Daniel Osbourne, their relationship hasnât ran smoothly.
Bethany was also left gobsmacked in scens earlier this month when she discovered that Daniel had given her clothes to his ex-fiancée, Daisy (Charlotte Jordan), instead of donating them to a charity shop as she had requested.
Despite his efforts to convince Bethany that he was acting in her best interests, Bethany was left fuming over his secrecy and his continued friendship with his ex-fiancée.
Daniel headed to the Rovers Return pub, drinking himself into oblivion.
He then crashed his car into a wall, but managed to get out unscathed, and Daisy covered up for him.
She was then questioned by copper Kit Green.
Meanwile, it was revealed in August that Lucy Fallon â who plays Bethany â is pregnant with her second child.
And earlier this week, the actress revealed she had just a few weeks left before baby number two arrives which means Bethany will be off the cobbles while Lucy goes on maternity leave.
