CATCHING ON Coronation Street to be rocked by shocking STD health crisis in cruel twist after love triangle, claim fans
One character is set to leave
CORONATION Street has sparked rumours an explosive STI storyline is set to rock Weatherfield.
Speculation is rife that a tangled web of romances could lead to a health crisis for some of the cobbles’ favourite characters.
The drama centres on Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), who’s landed himself in hot water after cheating on girlfriend Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) with ex Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).
The pair had a secret tryst at the Rovers Return, leaving Daisy heartbroken when Daniel regretted his actions.
Now Daisy has moved on to fresh love interest Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), a dashing new police officer.
But fans have spotted a problem – Kit has a messy romantic history, including a fling with Shona Platt (Julia Goulding).
To make matters worse, Kit was recently spotted sharing a cryptic goodbye with an unnamed woman, sparking fears he’s juggling multiple relationships.
Coronation Street is known for tackling real-life issues, from mental health to domestic abuse, and fans believe an STI plot could highlight the risks of infidelity and the importance of sexual health.
Viewers reckon this love triangle – or rather, love hexagon – could spiral into a shocking STI storyline.
One fan tweeted: “They’re all going to get something,” while another said: “You watch, they’ll have a clap story next.”
A third said: “They are all going to get sexual diseases!!”
Soap bosses have yet to confirm the fan theory.
