Coronation Street Legend ‘Could Make a Comeback from the Dead’—Star Teases Future Plot

Audrey meets with Lewis in Coronation Street

Fans of Coronation Street might be in for a thrilling surprise as Nigel Havers, who portrayed the infamous conman Lewis Archer, has hinted at a possible return to Weatherfield. Despite Lewis’s death in 2019, Havers, now 72, teased that his character could make a shocking comeback.

Lewis Archer, notorious for scamming Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) and Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), left a lasting impression when he was last seen. On a recent appearance on Good Morning Britain, Havers discussed his current role in Channel 5’s historical series Sandringham: A Royal Residence, where he delves into the mysteries of Sandringham House.

During the interview, hosts Ed Balls and Ranvir Singh, who are known for their light-hearted approach, quizzed Havers about his time on Coronation Street and the potential for his return. Singh, enthusiastic as ever, mentioned the possibility of Havers reprising his role. “We always talk about Corrie,” Singh said, encouraging Havers to elaborate on his potential return.

Havers responded with a playful hint: “You never know, I may come back!” This comment fueled speculation among fans, with Singh echoing the sentiment and encouraging further discussion. Although Ed Balls soon shifted the focus to another topic, the excitement among viewers is palpable.

Previously, Havers suggested on Good Morning Britain that Lewis could have a twin brother living in Australia, potentially setting the stage for a comeback. “Indeed, he has obviously, a twin brother living in Australia,” Havers hinted. This twist would align with the character’s history of deception.

Adding to the intrigue, presenter Piers Morgan speculated that Lewis might have faked his own death, given his background as a conman. With such possibilities, fans are left eagerly awaiting any further announcements.
