Lisa Swain Exposes the True Culprit in Shocking Coronation Street Crime Twist
As Coronation Street’s local detective sergeant, DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) is no stranger to complex cases. However, in upcoming scenes, she will have the opportunity to lighten her workload by finally uncovering the perpetrator behind a serious crime.
Abi Webster (Sally Carman) has been having a rough time recently after discovering that murderer Corey Brent was set to be the subject of a documentary. When she spoke out against it, she became the target of Corey’s father, Stefan Brent (Paul Opacic), who published numerous deepfake porn videos of her.
It took Abi a while to realize Stefan was behind it, but once Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) found evidence on Stefan’s phone, Stefan agreed to stop his actions on the condition that Abi wouldn’t hand over the phone to the police.
While Abi is eager to put the ordeal behind her, Stefan wants to meet Kevin to end their feud. However, when Stefan arrives at the house and Kevin is out, Jack Webster (Kyran Bowes), not recognizing Stefan, allows him to wait inside until his parents return home.
Later, Abi finds Kevin watching a news report about a fire at Stefan’s office building. When Abi insists that Stefan got what he deserved, Kevin begins to suspect that she might be responsible.
The responsibility of solving the arson case falls on Lisa, who promptly brings both Abi and Kevin in for questioning. During Abi’s interrogation, Lisa presents evidence from his doorbell showing that she visited Kevin’s home.
With Lisa closing in, Abi becomes even more distressed realizing that Kevin also suspects her involvement – but is she guilty?
Later in the week, Lisa interviews the actual culprit before charging them for the arson attack – but who will be in the hot seat?
