Daisy sickened by Kit’s vile behaviour on their date in Coronation Street

Dodgy police officer Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) has made no secret of the fact that he’s attracted to Daisy Midgley (Charlotte Jordan) in Coronation Street.

When he first moved into the Rovers, Daisy was in a relationship with Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) but that fizzled out when Ryan realised that Daisy was still in love with her former fiancé Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard). Daniel, however, had moved on with Bethany Platt, so Daisy is for the moment single.

This gave Kit the chance he was hoping for and he turned on the charm for Daisy, shamelessly using Ryan to find out what Daisy’s favourite film was so he could suggest it for a film night.

‘I think if he’s got his eye on someone he’s going to try and make that happen. He obviously fancies Daisy, so I think he’s going to try his best to see what he can do,’ Jacob Roberts told us.

There has definitely been a spark between Kit and Daisy in recent episodes and, coming up, there’s some flirtation around the Christmas tree as Kit helps Daisy with the decorations. He then suggests they go on a date – and she accepts.

They head to the bistro – Weatherfield’s most romantic rendezvous – and everything’s set for the perfect first date. Then Max Turner (Paddy Bever) approaches.

He confronts Kit about the fact that his girlfriend Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) is in prison for her birthday. Kit arrested her on suspicion of the murder of Joel Deering (Calum Lill), after Max initially handed himself in for the same crime to protect Lauren and her baby, Frankie.

Max is obviously overcome with worry about what’s happening to Lauren, but if he’s hoping for a shred of sympathy from Kit he’s come to the wrong person as Kit brushes his concerns aside.

His dismissive attitude to Max doesn’t impress Daisy, though, as she later tells him that she feels he could have shown some empathy towards Max and handled the situation more sensitively.

Has Kit’s cold attitude towards Max ruined any chance of a relationship with Daisy? Or will he find some way to turn her opinion around?
