The plot thickens! There’s more to Les’ grim death in Coronation Street than meets the eye
Toyah and Leanne Battersby (Georgia Taylor and Jane Danson) will be faced with an upsetting time in Coronation Street soon as they learn Les (Bruce Jones) has died.
Les, who many forgot existed until actor Bruce Jones started to take to the professional wrestling ring at the age of 71, will be killed off in a surprise decision from Corrie bosses.
As if they haven’t been through enough this year, the end of the week will see siblings Toyah and Leanne learn about Les’ passing, which happened while he was at work.
Prior to this, Nick (Ben Price) will prepare himself to tell Leanne that his relationship with Toyah is continuing.
Just as he steals himself to come clean to Leanne though, a police officer arrives with the news about Leanne’s dad.
Reeling from shock, Leanne heads out to find Toyah. Just as she goes, Nick rings her to let her know.
As the sisters hug, a comment leads to Leanne working out that Toyah already knew about Les. When she admits that she got a call from Nick, it leaves Leanne confused.
In upcoming episodes, Les’ close relatives attend the will reading.
There, Adam (Sam Robertson) reveals that the abattoir where Les worked has offered £50k in compensation for his death, with the condition of signing an NDA.
Suspicious, Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) tells Chesney (Sam Aston) to look into it as it seems someone is hiding something.
But what really happened?
