Coronation Street spoilers as DS Swain stays at Carla’s, Dee-Dee has shocking news and Tim’s in danger
The ups and downs of life in Weatherfield continue next week and Coronation Street fans will see Dee-Dee Bailey deliver some shocking news in the wake of viewers discovering who really killed her ex-fiancé Joel Deering.
At the start of the week, Dee-Dee wakes up from a nightmare. Later, as she meets with a new client, Dee-Dee hurries out before suffering a meltdown. DC Kit Green does his best to calm her down before Dee-Dee confides some shocking news in Sarah Barlow.
Elsewhere, Shona Platt checks her junk mail and is shocked to see an email from her son Clayton Hibbs’ prison – and it’s not good news. Later, Shona tells her husband David Okatt hat Clayton has regained consciousness but refuses to see her and David hides his relief.
Meanwhile, when Mason Radcliffe’s brothers are released by the police without charge, Betsy Swain advises Mason to lie and tell them it was Tim Metcalfe who grassed them up to the police. Betsy then continues to flirt with Mason, but the mood is broken when Matty pulls up in his car.
Later, Sally and Tim find the word ‘grass’ sprayed across their front door. Tim assures her that he’s reported Mason’s brothers to the police. But when they spot Logan getting into Tim’s cab, Mason and Betsy warn Eileen Grimshaw that Tim’s in danger. In the car, Logan orders Tim to park up and soon, Matty climbs in, making it clear they’re going to teach him a lesson.
And speaking of Betsy, when she announces she’s going to her mum Becky’s grave as it’s her birthday, DS Lisa Swain feels terrible having forgotten and later, Carla finds Lisa drowning her sorrows in the pub.
The following day, Lisa wakes up on Carla’s sofa with a hangover. When Carla admits to Ryan Connor that she has feelings for Lisa but she’s out of depth, he urges her to go for it. Soon after, Carla returns home to find Lisa getting dressed. Will she make her move?
Also on the cobbles, Ken Barlow returns from his holiday and tells the Barlows that having looked at his finances, he’s going to have to let Cassie Plummer go. The family’s relieved as Ken thanks Cassie but explains that he no longer requires her services.
But when he begins feeling unwell, Ken tells Cassie he’ll pay her an extra pound an hour if she’ll accept her job back. Flanked by Adam Barlow and Steve McDonald, Tracy Barlows orders Cassie to sling her hook and stop sponging off Ken, adamant she’ll look after him.
However, when Ken suffers a nosebleed and admits he feels awful, they head to hospital. Meanwhile, it’s left to Steve to spell out to Cassie that she’s sacked.
