Coronation Street Star Hayley Tamaddon Shares Heartbreaking Details of Son’s Severe Injury
Former Emmerdale and Coronation Street star Hayley Tamaddon revealed that her young son was rushed to hospital after suffering a nasty injury.
Taking to Instagram, the actress revealed that son Jasper suffered a fracture across his humerus.
The Andrea Beckett actress, 47, shared a snap of the youngster lying on a hospital bed and captioned the post: ‘Not where I thought we’d end up tonight.’
In a separate post she shared her son’s X-ray adding: ‘A nice clean break across his humerus.
‘A million thanks to the incredible staff @blackpoolteachingshospitals and to @jess.nuttall95 and Zoey for making him feel calm. You all work so hard. Truly grateful for our #nhs.’
Hayley has made several trips to hospital herself in the past, and in 2022 was treated for meningitis.
The actress posted a picture of herself on an IV drip, and later explained that she had contracted viral meningitis, and thanked staff at Blackpool hospital for looking after her.
Hayley played Delilah Dingle in Emmerdale from 2005 to 2007. Poor Del was quite unlucky in love, and became embroiled in unsuccessful relationships with a number of the village men, including Carl King, Paddy Kirk and David Metcalfe.
In 2013, Hayley joined the cast of Coronation Street as Steve McDonald’s college classmate Andrea Beckett. In 2015, Andrea left the cobbles with boyfriend Lloyd Mullaney to start a new life elsewhere.
Hayley has also had a successful theatre career, playing roles such as Roxie Hart in Chicago and Miss Hedge in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.
