Coronation Street’s Fiz Dobbs (Jenny McAlpine) Shocked by Tyrone’s Betrayal with Alina
Coronation Street’s Fiz Dobbs (Jenny McAlpine) was left reeling earlier this month when she unexpectedly ran into Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) while grocery shopping at Fresco’s—a woman who had previously caused a temporary end to her marriage.
Fiz’s worst fears come to fruition next week as her husband Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) grows closer to his ex, Alina Pop. Alina has returned to Weatherfield three years after leaving to testify against the traffickers who brought her from Romania to the UK.
Tyrone is in for a shocking revelation when he learns that Alina had secretly given birth to his son, Dorin, while she was away. In upcoming scenes, Fiz’s frustration boils over when Tyrone admits he lied about a large bill, which was actually for a consultation with Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) regarding Dorin.
Fiz is further horrified when Tyrone reveals his wish for Alina and Dorin to move to Weatherfield permanently, so he can be more involved in his son’s life. This news complicates matters, as Fiz’s daughter Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) struggles with Alina’s return, due to their tumultuous past. Alina had previously suffered a miscarriage during a fire started by Hope at their flat above the salon, which had deeply affected Fiz and Tyrone’s relationship.
While Tyrone’s daughter Ruby (Billie Naylor) is excited to dote on her new brother, Hope wants nothing to do with Dorin. Tensions rise further when Alina begins receiving threatening calls before the trial, leading Tyrone to suspect Hope might be behind them. However, Tyrone’s suspicions are proven wrong when Alina is attacked in her hotel room by a thug trying to intimidate her into not testifying.
