Coronation Street legend quits as major couple ‘set to split’ in 23 pictures
Coronation Street previews the end of Joel Deering (Calum Lill), as confirmed in my new picture gallery, with Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) set to piece together the truth.
Dee-Dee, as viewers know, has long suspected that Joel is hiding something and upcoming scenes will see her start to wonder if he’s having an affair.
The investigation continues next week when she researches the jewellers where Joel claimed to have bought Maeve’s bracelet, making quite a discovery in the process.
But that’s not all she uncovers as, after a trip to the hospital, she learns that Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) is heading for Belfast. Knowing that Joel was previously planning on flying to Belfast too, will she put two and two together and realise that the father of Lauren’s baby is none other than her fiancé?
That remains to be seen but, later in the week, Dee-Dee decides to confront Joel with her suspicions, demanding the truth from him.
Is the game finally up? Or will master manipulator Joel manage to work the narrative in his favour once again?
Elsewhere, Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) receives a number of menacing calls, suspecting the traffickers are to blame.
Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall), however, wonders if Hope is responsible, given that she makes no effort to get to know Dorin when Alina calls over.
But despite Tyrone’s theory, it turns out that it actually is the traffickers that are to blame, as Aline is confronted in her hotel room by a thug, who demands that she doesn’t give evidence in court.
Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine), meanwhile, grows concerned for her relationship with Tyrone in the wake of Alina’s comeback. Is the much-loved couple set to split?
Elsewhere, Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) is left mortified when she realises that Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) has told David Platt (Jack P Shepherd)all about their fling
Oh dear! It’s going to be quite the week on the cobbles.
