Civian highlighted that while Angel Reese had a strong start to the season, Caitlin Clark’s performance has been on an “astronomical trajectory,” positioning her as the leading contender at the season’s halfway point.

Clark has been exceptional this season, averaging 8.2 assists per game. She is on pace to break the rookie record for assists per game, which is currently 7.5, set by Ticha Penicheiro in 1998. This impressive statistic underscores her impact and skill on the court.

Although Civian recognizes that the competition could remain tight as the season progresses, she expects Clark to hold her position as the frontrunner for the Rookie of the Year award.
