Coronation Street confirms dark twist as a body is found

Coronation Street‘s Carla Connor faces an upsetting day next week as she learns that her dangerous brother Rob Donovan may have passed away.

Carla is asked to identify a body as the police seek urgent clarification over whether Rob’s reign of terror is finally over.

The big scenes play out as part of a dramatic week of episodes focusing on Rob’s story.

Early in the week, Lisa Swain is alarmed to find that her daughter Betsy’s bed hasn’t been slept in at the flat.

Lisa is aware that Rob is on the loose and lurking nearby, following a creepy break-in at the flat. With Betsy mysteriously gone, Lisa worries that Rob could target her daughter next.

Betsy soon returns home hungover after a drunken night out. Lisa is hugely relieved to see her, but reminds her that it’s not safe to go out alone while a dangerous criminal is targeting their family.

Failing to take the situation seriously enough, Betsy dismisses her mum’s warnings and heads back out.

Betsy soon regrets her hasty decision as she realises that someone is following her at the Weatherfield Precinct.

As Betsy rushes off, the shifty man gives chase and viewers see that Rob is the one who’s tormenting her.

Show bosses aren’t giving away the outcome of the frightening encounter, but the story takes yet another twist later in the week.

Lisa informs Carla that the police have found a body near the hospital and they think it could be Rob.

At the mortuary, Carla braces herself as she prepares to identify the body. What will she find? And how does this all fit in with the shock siege scenes that Corrie confirmed in a recent trailer? All will be revealed in the coming weeks.
